Its not surprising that many would turn to thyroid drugs once word got out about how efficient they are for burning body fat. For a modern exerciser trying to develop ripped muscle mass and shredded muscularity, thyroid medication seems like a logical step. The most popular thyroid drug is Cytomel.

Cytomel contains a synthetically manufactured compound called liothyronine sodium, which resembles the natural thyroid hormone T3. Many seem to love Cytomel, as it causes a faster burning of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. The last point is especially important. Increased lipolysis (fat-burning) will leave them hard. Cytomel helps a competitor maintain extremely low-fat content without necessitating a loss in muscle tissue, which is a difficult accomplishment. Many also report that low dosage of Cytomel combined with steroids make the steroid more effective. My advice is to stay clear of thyroid drugs and stick with such safe alternatives as increases cardio exercise and reduced caloric intake. Avoid simple sugars. Why risk damaging your thyroid glands for a slightly lower body fat percentage.
